Editing Wallet Account Names

Managing multiple accounts within your Phantom wallet can be streamlined by assigning dedicated names to each account. This feature is particularly relevant if you have multiple accounts, enabling easier management and identification. Whether you’re labeling accounts for specific purposes such as “Burner Account,” “Airdrop Wallet,” or “NFT Collection,” custom names help keep your transactions and assets organized.

For Browser Extension:

1. Open the Phantom Wallet Extension:

   • Click on the Phantom Wallet icon in your browser toolbar to open the wallet extension.
2. Access the Wallet Menu:
   • Once the wallet is open, click on the account icon ('Hamburger' or Three Horizontal Lines icon) to select the account you wish to rename.
3. Enter the "Edit Account" mode to Rename:
   • Click on the pencil icon that appears when you hover over your wallet name at the top of your wallet. This will open the "Edit Account" view.
4. Edit the Account Name
   • Select the your current Account Name listed after "Account Name.”
   • This will bring up an editable field allowing you to type in the new name for your account.
   • Enter the desired name and confirm.
5. Save the Changes:
   • After entering the new name, save the changes. Your account will now be displayed with the new name in the account list.

For Mobile iOS:

1. Open the Phantom Wallet App:
   • Launch the Phantom app on your iOS device.
2. Navigate to the "Manage Accounts" Section:
   • Tap on the settings menu icon (Gear in top left of wallet)
   • Select  "Manage Accounts"
   • ALTERNATIVELY: Tap on your account at the top of your primary wallet view to view your accounts.
3. Enter the "Edit Account" mode to Rename:
   
   • Locate the account you want to rename and tap on the Pencil Icon next to it to open the options menu.
4. Edit the Account Name
   
   • Select the your current Account Name listed after "Account Name.”
   • This will bring up an editable field allowing you to type in the new name for your account.
   • Enter the desired name and confirm.
5. Confirm and Save:
   • Once you have entered the new name, simply navigate back to confirm and save the changes. Your account will now display the new name in the accounts list.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage and organize multiple accounts within your Phantom wallet, making it easier to navigate and utilize your crypto assets.
