What is a Phantom username?
A Phantom username is a unique, user-friendly identity for your Phantom wallet. Rather than use a long, complex wallet address, you can create your own custom username—one that’s special to you and simple to others. Any accounts you link to your username will also sync across devices.
What can I do with my username?
With our address book, you can add friends as contacts by name, rather than complex wallet addresses, making it easier to find them and send and receive crypto. Any accounts you connect to your username will also sync across all your devices.
Do I have to claim a username?
No, usernames are 100% opt-in.
How do I claim my username?
Once your wallet is eligible, you’ll see a banner in Phantom with the official link to claim your username.
How many usernames can I claim?
You can only have one username at a time.
Can I change my [username / auth factors / linked wallets / public addresses?]
Not right now, but we’ll be rolling out the ability to change your [username / auth factors / linked wallets / public addresses] soon.
Do I need to renew my username?
Nope!
Can I lose my username?
Usernames can be revoked if they are in violation of our Usernames Policy. Please view our guidelines for more details here.
What else do I need to know?
Your username cannot be longer than 15 characters can only contain alphanumeric characters (letters A-Z, numbers 0-9).
How do I add the option to use Phantom username/name feature?
This feature is slowly being rolled out to our users. If you don't see the banner then it has not been released to you yet.
Can I add a wallet to my username at anytime?
Currently, you can only link one wallet from each network to a username, and this setting is not adjustable. However, future updates will allow for more flexibility in managing multiple wallets.
I accidentally closed the username banner, how do I get it back?
If you have closed the notification regarding claiming your username without claiming, you will need to import your wallet onto a different device in order to access that notification again.
