How to migrate from Sollet

  • Updated

DO NOT share your Secret Recovery Phrase with anyone! If someone has access to your secret phrase, they will have access to your wallet. Phantom support will NEVER ask you for your secret phrase or your private key.

This guide is for anyone that has an existing Sollet wallet and wants to migrate their funds to Phantom. This process consists of 3 easy steps:

  1. Install Phantom
  2. Find your secret recovery phrase
  3. Import your secret recovery phrase

Install Phantom

If you already have Phantom installed, skip this step.

Phantom is available for a number of different platforms and browsers. To install Phantom, please visit https://phantom.app/download

Find your secret recovery phrase

You should have your seed words safely stored and accessible from the first time you used Sollet.  This will likely be on a file named sollet.bak in your downloads folder, as it was a required step during Sollet onboarding.

Import secret recovery phrase

After successfully installing Phantom, you should have a page open in a browser tab that looks like this. Click "I already have a wallet".

If you don't see this, please press the Phantom icon in the top right-hand side of your browser. Alternatively, press the Phantom keyboard shortcut ("alt + shift + p") or ("option + shift + p").

You should now be in the Phantom onboarding experience.

Select "I have a 24-word recovery phrase" and then type in your 24-word "Secret Recovery Phrase", "mnemonic", or "seed phrase" that you exported from Sollet, then click "Import wallet".

After completing the onboarding, you should find that Phantom has all of your previously used addresses derived from your recovery phrase!

Multiple Wallets

You can only use 1 Secret Recovery or Seed Phrase with Phantom at a time. If you already have a wallet set up and you would like to use a different one, go into Settings (top left icon), select "Security & Privacy" and click "Reset Secret Recovery Phrase". Then follow the instructions above in this guide.

Make sure you have written down your Secret Recovery Phrase and stored it somewhere safe as it is the only way to recover your wallet(s).
