How to Report a Scam

  • Updated

At Phantom, our top priority is ensuring a safe and secure environment for our users to access Web3 applications. To achieve this, we continuously monitor emerging scam trends to safeguard our users from fraudulent activities.

We appreciate your vigilance in identifying and reporting phishing links, fake websites, malicious applications, social media impersonators, or any other platforms that pose a risk to users.

If you become a victim of a scam, we strongly recommend reporting the incident to your local cybercrime authorities and considering it as a potential loss on your taxes. Additionally, you may attempt to trace the stolen funds using blockchain explorers. Here are the top blockchain explorers for popular blockchains:

• Solana: Solscan, Solana Beach
• Ethereum: Etherscan, Ethplorer
• Polygon: Polygonscan, Polygon Explorer
• Bitcoin: Blockchain.com, mempool.space

Moreover, there are specialized teams available to track stolen funds. If these funds are sent to an exchange, these teams can attempt to contact the exchange to freeze the assets.

It is important to note that Phantom is a non-custodial wallet. This means we do not have control over your seed phrases or funds stored on the blockchain. Consequently, we are unable to reverse transactions or provide compensation for lost funds. We urge you to remain vigilant and prioritize your security.

Be safe out there!
