How to report a scam?

  • Updated

At Phantom, we strive to provide a safe and secure environment for our users to access Web3 applications. We collect and keep track of the latest scam trends to protect other users from being scammed.

We request you to help us identify and report the phishing links, fake websites, applications, social media impersonators, and any medium that is responsible for the loss of funds.

If you are a victim of a scam, you can report the theft to local cybercrime authorities and then write it off as a loss on your taxes. You can also try to track the funds through the blockchain explorer.

There are also teams out there that help track stolen funds, and if those funds go to an exchange they try to contact that exchange to freeze the funds.

Phantom is a non-custodial wallet, we don't have control over your seed phrases or funds stored in the blockchain. This means that we don't have the ability to reverse the funds to your wallet or provide compensation for the same. Be safe out there!
